You date, you love then you break up

Still asking yourself what went wrong
But you’ve been doomed all along

You work so hard but fall behind

You’re looking for a button that says rewind

And every cloud the sun burns in time

But you’re still waiting for a sign

You’ll never find glory

As your dreams turn to dust

All life, all the illusions that you trust

Have all been blown away

Trying hard to hold on, but you know you’re not going strong

And you destined to be
Another tragic story, another tragic story

You feel like a dope, cause you believed the hope

But the nights only get colder
As the light fades away
You never know if the sun’s going to rise

At least in your eyes there may not be a tomorrow
You’re still plagued by the sorrow and missed opportunities
You’re lost out at sea and you can’t hold on forever

Cause there’s no one there to save you and you’re going under
And the approaching thunder signals the end
