Post 282: The Minute Hand (4/10/10)

The Minute Hand (1/27/10 c, 4/10/10 w)

I’m watching as the clock turns at supersonic speed
Looking back in time again aimlessly
Time has faded away
But where did it go, where did it go
Other than away from me

I want to take the
Minute hand
Turn it back in time
And hope it can take me for a ride
A ride into my past
For a, for a second chance
Back to when the world was still new
And I didn’t have to think of you
I could see you with my eyes
Maybe I could have realized

Wondering where the days have gone
When I lived them, they seemed so long
But now they can never be replaced
What I missed, all of life that I waste

I want to take the
Minute hand
Turn it back in time
And hope it can take me for a ride
A ride into my past
For a, for a second chance
Back to when the world was still new
And I didn’t have to think of you
I could see you with my eyes
Maybe I could have realized

Now a cold future awaits
I can’t see, see the horizon
Staring off the edge of the world
The world that turned out to be just a horizon
Stuck in, stuck in my mind
Things that I was memorizing

I can’t forget, except what it all meant
What did it mean, because I can’t come up with any, anything

I want to take the
Minute hand
Turn it back in time
And hope it can take me for a ride
A ride into my past
For a, for a second chance
Back to when the world was still new
And I didn’t have to think of you
I could see you with my eyes
Maybe I could have realized
