Post 566: Empty Xmas Tree (3/31/10)

Empty Xmas Tree (12/19/09 c, 3/31/10 w)

Looking at the glass in my mind
Is it half empty or double the right size
No matter the answer
I don’t think that I can hide
Hide from the reality

My life like an
Empty Xmas tree
So many branches but there is nothing to decorate me
There are no lights that my eyes can see
There is nothing unless I find someone
Someone to decorate me, decorate me with her love
So I’ll no longer, no longer be an
Empty Xmas tree

Looking to the sky
For a brighter star
A star that might lead me to where you are
Though I don’t know your name
I don’t know anything about you
Other than I know you must exist
And you can bring me such bliss

My life like an
Empty Xmas tree
So many branches but there is nothing to decorate me
There are no lights that my eyes can see
There is nothing unless I find someone
Someone to decorate me, decorate me with her love
So I’ll no longer, no longer be an
Empty Xmas tree

Wise people should tell me to give up
I know I should
But maybe, maybe this miracle awaits for me
Finally
This is the season, the season to believe
Will you help me see, the forest for the trees

My life like an
Empty Xmas tree
So many branches but there is nothing to decorate me
There are no lights that my eyes can see
There is nothing unless I find someone
Someone to decorate me, decorate me with her love
So I’ll no longer, no longer be an
Empty Xmas tree
