Post 551: Snowstorm (Let's Stay Home Tonight) (3/29/10)

Snowstorm (Let’s Stay Home Tonight) (11/30/09 c, 3/29/10 w)

The weather outside is cold and blistery
The snow is piling up outside our door
I know you wanted to go out
But it doesn’t make sense, doesn’t make sense anymore

There is a snowstorm
Let’s stay home tonight
And bask in the fire’s glow
Holding you, you holding me
Maybe dancing real slow
To the music of our hearts
There is so much here for me
For me I can’t find outside
There is a snowstorm
Let’s say home tonight

Inside it’s dry and warm
Outside the roads have disappeared
Disappeared beneath the winter’s blanket of white
I can’t leave you tonight
So I guess I’ll have to, I’ll have to stay
It is safer for me, does it feel any safer to you

There is a snowstorm
Let’s stay home tonight
And bask in the fire’s glow
Holding you, you holding me
Maybe dancing real slow
To the music of our hearts
There is so much here for me
For me I can’t find outside
There is a snowstorm
Let’s say home tonight

In your arms, I’m sure it’s much warmer
In your lips I find something I’ve never know, never known before
In your bed maybe I shouldn’t be, but I can’t help thinking
You could be so much warmer if you invited me
Invited me to spend the night
Lying at your side

There is a snowstorm
Let’s stay home tonight
And bask in the fire’s glow
Holding you, you holding me
Maybe dancing real slow
To the music of our hearts
There is so much here for me
For me I can’t find outside
There is a snowstorm

Let’s say home tonight
