Post 363: Postcard From Nowhere (4/13/10)

Postcard from Nowhere (1/27/10 c, 4/13/10 w)

How have you been
It’s been a while, a while since I’ve seen your smile
Do you have everything, everything you’ve ever wanted
Like I always knew you would
Does he give you love like only I could

Here is my
Postcard from nowhere
It’s a dark and lonely life
Without the love tonight
Here I am, in my oblivion
Thinking about all that has gone wrong
Trying to find a place, finally where I belong
All I can say to you I send in my
Postcard from nowhere

Do you ever look in the mirror and wonder
Wonder what your life would be like
If we would have handled things differently
Because the thought crosses, crosses my mind constantly

But I know it’s too late
Too late for us to be anything
Anything but a fading dream

Here is my
Postcard from nowhere
It’s a dark and lonely life
Without the love tonight
Here I am, in my oblivion
Thinking about all that has gone wrong
Trying to find a place, finally where I belong
All I can say to you I send in my
Postcard from nowhere

Visions of better times still cross my mind
From time to time
But you probably forget I exist
Living in your perfected world of bliss
Everything, everything you ever wanted

I should be happy, happy for you
Sometimes I wish I could send you a postcard from somewhere else
But I can’t escape, escape myself

Here is my
Postcard from nowhere
It’s a dark and lonely life
Without the love tonight
Here I am, in my oblivion
Thinking about all that has gone wrong
Trying to find a place, finally where I belong
All I can say to you I send in my
Postcard from nowhere
