After College

After college, you get to deal with a new form of hell.  Getting that first job and trying to start your career.  Easier said than done, isn't it (especially with a world-class sense of self-doubt)?  This time was still a time of misplaced veiled hope for the future and unrealistic possibilities. This is a time of reflection, undeserved optimism, revisionist history and the like.

This section is for the labels: After College, The Blue Notebook (which was more of a really thick folder).  This basically cover the end of college to a year or two after.  i was living in Vancouver, WA (for 5 months ending in August 2000 i think) in an apartment by myself just writing useless stuff trying to luck my way into a business job/career - denied.  It was the first time i ever spent on my own.  While it was ultimately unsuccessful, it was a needed experience.

i wrote something, no not that

i haven't written anything in years. There have been a couple of times when i was on the verge of writing a few lines, but never stopped to do it - when i do stop i don't feel it anymore. Usually happening after listening to a new CD - Richard Marx "Songwriter" the last time, Luke Bryan "Born Here Live Here Die Here" before that.

So, i guess the best i can do is come out with some more "unwritten" - basically potential titles of "songs" i'll never write.

Let's call it Requiem.

Senior Year Spring: The beginning of the end

This is like Senior Year Winter, but with more angst and fear of the future.  College is ephemeral and long distance relationships almost never work.  The degree was the easy part.  However 21 credits in the last quarter wasn't exactly wise (barely missed Dean's List). Some interesting ones and bad formatting.

There are more i think, but formatting makes hard to see.  i thought there were some decent ones hidden somewhere.  Someday may update, for now too much trouble.

Senior Year: Winter: I'm in it, but what is it i'm in

Some "interesting" posts - maybe.  Interest not a guarantee; may vary by region, like, species, etc.  This tag may have been my college level peak.  There should be more here, curious.

Senior Year: Fall - what is this new thing, could it be a feeling?

Senior Year Fall: some of the more interesting ones: i was pretty prolific during this era (though many are more than a little redundant). A guy who doesn't really like to "feel" going through the weirdest thing he ever went through, love?

Older Stuff: Impressions of a time unfortunately past

We're talking 1996-98 ish.  When dinosaurs roamed the earth - or the cinemas, i forget which one. Sometimes my memory is frighteningly good...

Hard to believe that i started horribly "writing" this stuff 24+ years ago.  i should start reading these posts again to see what it was to "feel" anything but apathy.

When i am selected unquestioned ruler of the world (which should be inevitable) - i will disavow that these exist.
