Hard to believe that i started horribly "writing" this stuff 24+ years ago.  i should start reading these posts again to see what it was to "feel" anything but apathy.  

When i am selected unquestioned ruler of the world (which should be inevitable) - i will disavow that these exist.  

So maybe i'll do current day impressions.  Did i ever post "liner notes"/backstory? 

Yes i used to sing along to 80s pop (radio, Chicago 17 and Wham/George Michael).  i could theoretically sing a little - mostly pop/rock with a little R&B (and whatever Boy Band was).  

Hate the guys politics, but Richard Marx made writing seem so easy.  You think if you listen to songs most of your teenage/early 20s you would pick up some technique: wrong.  

Contrary to Howard Jones' assertion: sometimes things don't get any better.

As Clark Datchler and company said (Johnny Hares Jazz):  " Woke up to reality, and found the future not so bright.  I dreampy the impossible,  That maybe things could work out right".
