Post 640: Midsummer Midnight (7/22/09)

Midsummer Midnight (7/21/09 c, 7/22/09 w)

The unrelenting sun has given way to the night
It’s too hot to sleep
So I’m awake thinking of you

Though I am not sure I ever really met you
Someday, somewhere I swear I’ll know your face
But now I’m looking for someone to repair the hole in my heart
That comes from the past
This time, when I fall it’s going to last

Midsummer midnight
Finds us alone
Alone but together somehow strange
We may never have met, but somehow I know
You’re thinking of me, as I’m thinking of you
At midsummer midnight

The hours go by
Thinking of how life didn’t turn out the way it should have been
Maybe you feel it to
Do you ever feel you were born the wrong place and time?
Do you ever feel there is someone out there meant only for you?
But you haven’t met face to face

Midsummer midnight
Finds us alone
Alone but together somehow strange
We may never have met, but somehow I know
You’re thinking of me, as I’m thinking of you
At midsummer midnight

Possibilities lay before us if we ever meet
But how will we know
That it is not wrong
Until then we’ll meet at

Midsummer midnight
Finds us alone
Alone but together somehow strange
We may never have met, but somehow I know
You’re thinking of me, as I’m thinking of you
At midsummer midnight
