Post 639: Celibate (3/6/10)

Celibate (9/15/09 c, 3/6/10 w)

Standing alone on a starry night
Never thought that she would come into my life
Now I can’t imagine my life without her
Without her

It’s taken so long, so long for that first kiss
But it was worth the wait
And I’ll leave the speed of the relationship up to her
Because I know I can’t, I can’t lose her

She wants to be celibate
Her mother told her it is better to wait
Than to rush in
That it’s better to let your heart make the decision
When the moment is right
But to her that means wearing my ring
And that’s ok with me
She’s celibate

Tomorrow will take care of itself
At least that is what I’ve been told
But the one thing, the one thing I know
Is that she is the answer, to my heart’s lonely question
And I can’t lose her, or it would be the end of me

Lightning strikes all around me
As it gets harder each day
In love’s nectar to not partake
But I have to be strong
Because I can’t let her betray herself
In any way

She wants to be celibate
Her mother told her it is better to wait
Than to rush in
That it’s better to let your heart make the decision
When the moment is right
But to her that means wearing my ring
And that’s ok with me
She’s celibate

I keep dreaming of that day
Dreaming of that day
Locked in her embrace
When I can be the key
To let her share herself with me
To her ecstasy
In some distant future
Though hopefully getting closer every day
Though with her, it will be worth the wait

She wants to be celibate
Her mother told her it is better to wait
Than to rush in
That it’s better to let your heart make the decision
When the moment is right
But to her that means wearing my ring
And that’s ok with me
She’s celibate
