Post 573: Millionaire (4/27/10)

Millionaire (3/7/10 c, 4/27/10 w)

Another study showing that women are looking
Looking for the successful man
The man who has it all and doesn’t have to pretend
They are looking for the status

Foolish me, I thought it was love
Love that really mattered

Would you love me if I was a millionaire
Could you respect me if I had the dough
Because I need, I need to know
And I know I don’t have a chance
If it’s true, if it’s true
Because I couldn’t afford a dance
Let alone a lifetime with you
But I really want to
Would you love me if I was a
Millionaire, millionaire

You look so good, so good to me
But am I wasting my time, wasting my time
Looking for true love
When all you want is a better, better life
I have to believe there is more to life
More to love than that

Would you love me if I was a millionaire
Could you respect me if I had the dough
Because I need, I need to know
And I know I don’t have a chance
If it’s true, if it’s true
Because I couldn’t afford a dance
Let alone a life time with you
But I really want to
Would you love me if I was a
Millionaire, millionaire

You know what you want
But is it tempered with reason
Could it be to your heart a treason
To just let me go, when your heart knows
Your heart knows it should be here
Be here with me
Even though I don’t have money
Hopefully

Would you love me if I was a millionaire
Could you respect me if I had the dough
Because I need, I need to know
And I know I don’t have a chance
If it’s true, if it’s true
Because I couldn’t afford a dance
Let alone a lifetime with you
But I really want to
Would you love me if I was a
Millionaire, millionaire
