She looks at the calendar

And wonder where it is that time goes

Looking down wondering what happened to her close

She keeps holding on to a past

That has passed her by

She fit in, but she hasn’t since then

Caught up in memories that now feel like dreams

Staring down the barrel of an uncertain future

And an unfulfilling present that just didn’t turn out

Turn out the way I wanted it to

I look to the past and want to go back in time
