Post 464: Invertebrate Version 3 (1/28/10)

Invertebrate V3 (9/4/09 c, 1/28/10 w)

I waited in the rain for hours
But you never came
Should I take this as I sign
A sign you don’t want to see me again

With you I can’t decide if I can hate
Seems to me you’re an invertebrate
You can’t make your own mind
And leave your decisions to your friends
Here I am offering you my heart again
But I know this is a decision you won’t make
You are an invertebrate

I can’t stay waiting by the phone
Cause it is lonely. Lonely  here alone
Waiting, waiting for you
To tell me where I stand
Will you take my heart
Or will you drop my hand

With you I can’t decide if I can hate
Seems to me you’re an invertebrate
You can’t make your own mind
And leave your decisions to your friends
Here I am offering you my heart again
But I know this is a decision you won’t make
You are an invertebrate

Will there ever come a day
Ever come a day where you don’t walk away
I can’t tell if it’s real or pretend
But sometimes you give me hope
Hope that maybe I can be, I can be the answer to your biggest question
Someday maybe you can mention, mention me to your friends
With a more concrete description
Maybe I will know then

With you I can’t decide if I can hate
Seems to me you’re an invertebrate
You can’t make your own mind
And leave your decisions to your friends
Here I am offering you my heart again
But I know this is a decision you won’t make
You are an invertebrate
