Post 963: Eclipse Version 2

Eclipse Version 2 (9/3/24)

Light fading, fading from your eyes
No surprise

No light will ever pierce the darkness
It's always been like this

There's no, no escape from this abyss

Hopeless

Permanant eclipse

Extinguishing the candle

Is the only answer

Before, before it burns away

In a pathetic display

Embrace oblivion

Let the suffering come, come to an end

It is your only, only friend

Only escape from your living hell

Be honest with yourself, you know it as well

False hope is your only cope

But false hope will always fade away

Any "happiness" you find is delusion 

An ephemeral display

Not reality

You'll wake up one day

Wonder where your life has gone

When did it really end

What happened to all of your dreams

Haunted by the ghosts of all that will never, never be

Darkness, darker than you can believe is all you'll see

Note: this started my mini writing binge. i was listening to Nickelback and wondering if i could write an anti-Lullaby song (i kind of like that song).  Turns out the answer was no.
